A little information for you.
What some of our customers have told us
YES! The soap is really great, I have noticed a difference in my skin already. Thanks a bunch! Angela:)
Marge.............I received the soap the other day and was going to email you to let you know I think your soap is incredible!!!! It is wonderful to wash my face and not feel like I'm experiencing a tightening or drying effect. My skin felt wonderfully smooth and nourished after taking my shower yesterday.
Thank you for such a wonderful product!
Robin
Thanks for checking. I received my order, and they all smelled great. I have only used a single bar so far, the spearmint one, and I love it. Great lather. Can't wait to use the others. I have been trying goats milk soap for my skin, and it helps....better than any other 'sensitive skin' soap that I have tried. I just can't find it easily around here. I think that it's charming that you hand make your soaps. I expect to order more from you in the future.
Regards,
EROL K
I sent an email to you yesterday without completely inspecting the entire contents of the package. THANK YOU SO MUCH for the peppermint scrub sample and for the lovely wooden soap dish!!! That was such a nice surprise and so nice of you to include it in my order.
My house is just filled with wonderful scents and I'm finding it hard to part with the soaps I ordered to give to friends as gifts. Be assured that I will be ordering more soap soon! I will NEVER use commercial made soap again. (Also to let you know my personal experience with your soap has done wonders for my rosacea. My skin hasn't looked this good since....well, it has never looked this good!)
Thank you again for such a wonderful product!

My soap arrived yesterday. Can I tell you how wonderful and
scrumptious my house smells now? It's really great. I haven't even
tried the soap yet but I know I'll love using it. I'm planning on
giving away several bars if I can bear to part with one or two.

Marge, I just wanted to say thanks for the Dragon's Blood sample which you recently mailed to me in Delaware. Also for the small lotion bar. The soap is unbelievably silky feeling and it smells nice also. I have not felt anything like it in a soap. I will be placing an order probably later this month, but I just wanted to say thanks for sending such a nice soap.
Your soaps are the best! Thanks so much for your prompt service and fast shipping, too.

Soap Simplified
With the help of water, heat, and time, lye breaks fat molecules into fatty acids and glycerin (soap made in this manner can contain up to 24% naturally formed glycerin!). With the fatty acids, the lye makes a salt we call soap! I leave all that glycerin in just for you!
Have you ever wondered how soap is made and what is in it?
Well ! we did and the answer to our questions was really surprising! Commercial soap is technically not even soap but a detergent!
Soap is made by combining sodium hydroxide and either animal or vegetable fats. This is a very precise process (called saponification) that requires incredibly accurate measurements and huge amounts of patience. Commercial soap contains petroleum distillates instead of fats and oils. The fats , oils and butters we use all have specific properties that we are looking for to make a soap that is soooooo gentle and moisturizing for your skin.
The fragrance and essential oils will take your nose and mind to faraway places..herb gardens, lavender fields,The passing whiff of a man's cologne, maybe the beach on a starlit nite, anywhere your imagination can take you.
About Goats Milk
For centuries, people have been using milk as a cleansing agent. Now scientists know that goat milk soap has a pH level that is closer to the skin's own pH levels than soaps made without it. Unlike cow's milk, goat's milk is naturally homogenized--the milk and cream do not separate -- offering the full moisturizing effect of everything nature puts into the milk. Therefore, goat milk soap is extraordinarily gentle, and tender even to the driest of skin and goats milk is renowned for it's richness in Protein, vitamins & minerals. Goats Milk contains caprylic acid which is said to help prevent bacterial invasions of the skin.
It is now confirmed that alpha-hydroxy acids found in milk have rejuvenating and softening properties. And, unlike most mass-manufactured soaps, our handcrafted, cold-processed soap retains all of the moisturizing glycerin formed in the soapmaking process.
Goat Milk contains over 50 nutrients, including the vital vitamins of A, C, B1, B6, B12 and E, minerals, citric acid, amino acids, unsaturated fatty acids, enzymes, and a variety of other nutrients that nourish and revitalize dehydrated skin. Vitamin A slows down the effects of aging, prevents brown spots and thickiening of the skin, while Zinc contributes to the reconstruction of collagen fibers, encouraging moisture retention and assisting in maintaining your skin's elasticity.
We also add a couple butters that are benefical to your skin.
A little bit about them:
The Butters we use and why
Shea Butter
Because of its amazing skin care and healing properties, shea butter has been used for centuries in parts of Africa; now shea butter is available to the rest of the world. Shea Butter is said to provide unequalled skin moisturizing and enhanced cell regeneration and capillary circulation (this helps the healing of small wounds, cracks, crevices, and skin ulcers)
Cocoa Butter
Cocoa butter is a yellowish fatty acid obtained from the cocoa seeds and used in cosmetics, chocolate and soap. Cocoa butter is very rich and moisturizing, has a lovely scent and helps rejuvenate skin by attracting moisture to it.
The Oils we use and why
Jojoba
Jojoba "oil" is a natural mimic of the oil secreted by human skin so it may be used to protect and lubricate skin and hair. It is soothing, stops multitudinous skin problems and protects against premature aging and wrinkling of the skin caused by exposure to ultra violet radiation. Jojoba oil does not allow certain types of bacteria to grow which could prove it to be extremely valuable in the treatment of such conditions as acne
Castor Oil
Castor oil is often used to superfat. It attracts and holds moisture in the skin.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil makes soaps lather beautifully. It makes a very hard bar of soap with abundant lather. It even lathers in very hard water or even sea water.
Olive Oil
Olive Oil prevents the loss of your skin's natural moisture, softens skin and attracts external moisture to your skin. It helps keeps your skin soft, supple and younger looking.
We use a large percentage of Olive Oil in our soap as it has the most moisturizing properties even though it isn't high in the lather department we opted for moisture over lather.
Grapeseed Oil
Grapeseed Oil is purported to have regenerative and restructuring virtues and has great skin moisturizing properties. It has mildly astringent qualities which help to tighten and tone the skin.
Corn Oil
Corn oil is allotted important regenerative properties due to its content in unsaponifiables. Like all the oils rich in essential fatty acids, it has a restructuring activity and reinforces the cutaneous barrier. It thus helps to maintain the epidermis hydrated. Corn oil is also a very good skin conditioner.
Emu Oil
Emu oil aids in the relief of burns, skin ailments, sore joints, muscle aches etc. It is also good for dry chapped skin, psoriasis, eczema, scarring, swelling, dermatitis, contact dermatitis, hemorrhoids, rheumatism, arthritis, bursitis, callused feet, sprains, sunburn, and many other skin ailments. It is a natural emollient that is suitable for both skin care and cosmetics.
Emu Oil is VERY EXPENSIVE and products made with it will reflect that.
Rice Bran Oil
Rice Bran Oil contains the highest amount of all natural vitamin E in liquid form. Contains some antioxidizing and sunscreen properties. Great for mature, sensitive skin.
Palm Oil
Palm Oil is a superior oil that is considered to be a luxury oil as opposed to other vegetable oils. It makes a hard bar of soap that will last a long time. Saponifies easily and is mild to the skin.
